Vineyard Description
Pauline's Vineyard is right on Dry Creek Road, across the street from the winery. Randy Peters not only farms this vineyard, but was raised on the property. Named after his late mother, Pauline's Vineyard is comprised of Yolo Sandy Loam, providing better than usual drainage on the valley floor. Cool night and foggy mornings greet the vines most days, lending to retention of acidity.
Winemaker Notes
Intensely aromatic, the 2007 Merlot explodes with black cherry and spice. Subtle notes of vanilla and cinnamon weave themselves with blackberry cobbler. Big, lush and round in the mouth, it leaves you with hints of chocolate, spice and ample acidity.
